SME
I have been a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers & The American Foundry Society Club since 2017. The club runs demonstrations of manufacturing processes, CAD software, factory tours, and our yearly trip to the SEMA Automotive Show in Las Vegas.
I was Club Treasurer during the 2019-2020 school year, where I kept track of club expenditures and filled out club financial forms. Additionally, I helped in club event planning such as the trip to SEMA in Las Vegas.
This year I was elected to the position of Vice President for the 2020-2021 school year. We will be trying novel ways to keep the club involved and running virtually for the foreseeable future.
The club also encourages and assists students in using the equipment that is on campus.
I was encouraged to use the vinyl cutter on campus to make vinyl stickers for my sister of her company's logo. Students with more experience on the machine helped me work the software and properly cut the logos out.
